Embodied Memory Workshop

Personal and collective memories live and move in our bodies. Together, we will explore embodied memory through a collaborative dance-making process. We will start with a particular question or prompt that the community brings forward, and discover where memory takes us, how it moves us, and how we move it.
If we desire, our collective embodied inquiry might also include the memories of spaces and places through digital archival research and site-responsive choreographic process. Offered as a single day workshop or multi-day series.  
Rate: $250-500 per workshop day or $25-50 per person

Living Monuments Workshop

Through movement, memories, and dialogue, participants will engage in collective dance-making as a way to honor our communities histories that live and move in our bodies. Beyond physical markers and memorial structures, our movements can also lift up under-told or erased narratives. This workshop is designed to meaningfully connect with the particular interests, needs, and goals of your community.  The scope of this workshop can vary depending on the depth of your community's creative inquiry and can be offered as a single day workshop or multi-day series. 
Rate: $250-500 per workshop day or $25-50 per person

Black Social Dance:
​Memory, Place, & Resistance

As part of our Dancing in Darktown series, participants will explore Atlanta's turn-of-the-twentieth century dance hall history through embodied memory, archival research, and collaborative site-responsive creative devising. 
This workshop is open to those with an established dance practice (however you define it for yourself), who are relatively new to archival research. This can be offered as a single or multi-day workshop, and may include site visits.
Rate: $250-500 per workshop day or $25-50 per person

Proposal Writing Basics 

This grant writing workshop is geared specifically for dancers who are new to writing and submitting grant and/or fellowship proposals, or those seeking a refresher course. We will focus on:
  • Searching for opportunities aligned with your mission, vision, and goals
  • Centering your values in your approach to proposal writing
  • Exploring basic components of  applications
  • Crafting a compelling narrative!
  • Follow up with a 1-on-1 consultation (optional)
Rate: Sliding scale // Pay what you can

Proposal Writing Consults

Do you have a proposal that you're working on? This 1-on-1 consultation is geared to support your vision and help you submit a compelling proposal. Areas of focus:
  • Getting started and connecting meaningfully to an organization's call for proposals.
  • line-editing and proofreading
  • articulating your vision and writing a clear, effective narrative
  • Building and organizing your supporting materials
Rate: $150 per 1-hour consultation + email follow-up
